  Role and Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly and helpful service by welcoming customers and offering assistance.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system to scan items, process transactions, handle payments, and issue change.
  • Bag purchased items and assist customers with carrying their goods when needed.
  • Unload shipments, stock shelves, and rotate products according to company guidelines.
  • Create and maintain merchandise displays following visual layout instructions (planograms).
  • Keep the store clean by performing tasks such as removing trash, mopping, dusting, and maintaining restrooms and receiving areas.
  • Set up and manage outdoor displays as directed.

  Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic safety standards and store procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply planograms and merchandising standards.
  • Familiarity with handling cash transactions and basic math.
  • Capability to use the cash register and restock merchandise efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Willingness to engage in physical activities including walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds (and occasionally up to 55 pounds).
  • Comfortable using store equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing tools, and ladders (up to six feet).
